Dr. Dale had an aortic aneurysm on October 24th and was rushed to LeConte Medical Center. The CT scan confirmed that he had two large tears from his aorta to his sternum. Friends and family were told to say whatever we needed to say to him before he was flown to Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. His chances of survival were slim.
His surgeon started his seven-hour surgery at 3am Friday morning. And by Monday morning, he finally regained consciousness and was fully off the ventilator. A week later, he was walking, talking, and eating solid foods.
Last Thursday, he was released from Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center after only two weeks of occupational, physical, and speech therapy. He doesn’t seem to have any lasting effects other than just needing to regain his strength and heal from the surgery.
Dr. Dale plans to resume his speaking schedule and consulting in January–once his thoracic surgeon releases him. We appreciate everyone’s well wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts.
As we navigate the future, we have decided to move to an all-digital format for Dr. Dale’s products. For Black Friday, we are selling the remainder of the physical products we have in stock at a steep discount. Any stock that we don’t sell will be donated; so, feel free to reach out to us at betheprize@gmail.com if you know of an organization that would benefit from the DVDs, along with one DVD player.
We will be moving all digital products to Google Play, Amazon, and Apple Books by the first of the year. We will also begin doing YouTube Shorts to keep everyone inspired and spread the hootie-hoo attitude that Dr. Dale has always given to his audiences.
We love you all and we are incredibly thankful, especially this year.
